Grumpy Hero Grinder is a tower defense roguelite with real-time top-down combat. Build a deadly defense, shape enemy routes, and personally smash the crowds.

BUILD THE GRINDER

Each wave, draft traps and fortifications from a random selection, then combine them with each other and with the dungeon itself. Slow heroes in narrow passages, launch them into pits or lava, and let ballistas, slam plates, sawblades, and other defenses finish the job. Upgrade your traps to change how they work and make your grinder even deadlier!

STRATEGY AND EXPLORATION

Expand your randomly generated dungeon. Every new sector brings a reward and a challenge, changing the dungeon you must defend. Choose where to go next and encounter quests, traders, treasures, hidden passages, and more.

Build mines and forts, reinforce key positions with your minions, and pull levers to change routes. Redirect the heroes into a trap or simply cause a few extra casualties.

FIGHT AS THE BOSS

When your traps and minions are not enough, step in and do the dirty work yourself. Shape your playstyle by choosing perks, spells, weapons, and other equipment. Fight from a distance or charge into melee and smash through the crowd.

Knock heroes into hazards, rally your minions, and protect your Spark.

PERMANENT PROGRESSION AND LORE

Defeat is not the end. Return to your underworld base, where Mother Abyss will give you another Spark. Help those you meet, unlock permanent upgrades, return stronger, and uncover what is going on down there…

Grind heroes and get back to your well-deserved nap.
