You Can't Drink Gold is an active incremental mining roguelite. Packed with gems, buried treasures, explosive surprises, and mysteries waiting in the dirt. Dig as deep as your tools can reach—the only limit is how hard the rock bites back.

You don't click to dig

Left-click for the shovel, right-click for the pickaxe. Tools swing on their own, at their own rhythm, wherever your cursor rests. Hold still to drill deep. Sweep across to carve wide. No wrist strain, no button mashing—just steer and let them work.

Watch what you uncover

The deeper you go, the weirder the rock gets. Careful where you swing: unearthing gunpowder will blow a crater right in your face. Crack open strange rocks, trigger unexpected chain reactions, and uncover things you definitely didn't plan for.

Every five days, the water bill arrives

Gold is everywhere down here, but you can't drink gold. Each day lasts as long as your canteen holds water. Every fifth day, the bill arrives: it never gets cheaper, and it does not negotiate. Pay up, or your run is over.

Melt, socket & experiment

Between shifts, head to the workshop. Melt matching gems into higher quality stones, find new gear, and socket gems to craft your build. The fun part? What a gem does depends entirely on which piece of equipment you put it in...
