About This Game

Hockey Game is arcade hockey in the late-80s style: four skaters and a

goalie per side, a small rink, and matches that finish in minutes.

On the ice

• Three skater builds. Light skaters fly but bounce off everyone. Heavies flatten people at a jog and shoot hard off a quick windup. Mediums split the difference.

• Charged shots: hold past full power and the shot gets faster but can sail wide.

• Poke checks

• Fights break out after big hits. Mash to win.

• Your stick moves your goalie too. Every input is a decision about two players at once.

• Faceoff scrambles, icing (toggleable), golden goal overtime, and shootouts that run until someone cracks.

Make it yours

• Team editor: names, colors, logos, and a build for every player. The whole editor works on a controller.

• Match settings: period length from 1 to 20 minutes, AI difficulty, icing, shootouts.

Seasons and stats

• Season mode: a double round robin against the whole team library, then top-4 playoffs for the title.

• A box score after every game: goals, assists, hits, saves, and three stars.

• All-time totals tracked for each local player across every match they play.

Play together

• Local two player on one machine.

• Online 1v1 through Steam friend invites, no setup. Both machines run the same simulation, so what you see is what your opponent sees.
