About This Game

Love is not a formula waiting to be solved.

TRUE LOVE™ is a VR simulator that promises to teach you how to find and build true love. It runs on tropes — each one is a separate world, and at the same time, a theory about how love is supposed to work. Clear them all and you'll understand everything. That's the promise. The simulator is wrong about it, and so are you.

You start with no attack cards

Your starting hand consists of shields and persuasion cards, and nothing else. The only damage you can deal is the damage that was dealt to you first: read the enemy's moves, parry on time, and the full hit goes back to them. Attack cards appear only when you team up with one of the heroines. The heroines have their own cards, and they are shuffled into your single deck when the girls travel with you.

Three tracks, one broken heart

Every enemy has three separate health bars — three different ways to reach them:

  • Body — physical impact. Direct damage, strikes, magic, elements.

  • Mind — manipulation. Intimidation, illusions, hypnosis.

  • Heart/Soul — sincerity. Actions and words that do not come easily to you, but actually change the hearts of your enemies.

The simulation was supposed to stay in the simulation

Between runs, there is a real city, a university, rent, dates, and a calendar that will not wait for you.

Features

  • Roguelite deckbuilding across three-track combat

  • Timed parry — read the tell, return the hit in full

  • Personal ultimates and squad-wide ALL-OUT attacks

  • A visual novel woven through the runs, not bolted onto them

  • A city hub with dates, bonds, and a deadline that runs out

  • Authored heroines with their own card pools and their own opinions about you
