Use Bombs to Make Your Own Way

Bonbaran! is a 2D action puzzle game about using bombs and digging to find your own way through each stage.

Bombs do a lot more than just sit there and explode.

Place them. Stack them. Kick them. Stand on them. Light them. Chain them together.

You can control how far a bomb moves when you kick it. Blow up walls, trigger mechanisms, or use one explosion to set off another bomb.

“How can I use these bombs to get through here?”

That is the kind of question Bonbaran! wants you to keep asking as you search for your own way through each stage.

Change the Terrain, Open a Path

Some parts of the stage can be destroyed with explosions. Others can be temporarily dug out.

Drop bombs into holes. Trap enemies in them. Turn them into temporary paths.

Dug-out terrain eventually comes back, and even that timing can become part of the solution.

How you use your bombs, and how you change the terrain, can lead to very different ways through the same stage.

Failed? Pick Up from the Part That Worked

Maybe your idea was almost right.

Maybe everything went well until the last few seconds.

In Bonbaran!, you can replay that attempt exactly as it happened.

Then, take control partway through the replay and try something different.

Let the previous attempt handle the part that already worked, then change only what comes next.

Instead of repeating the same setup from the beginning every time, you can build on your previous attempts as you search for another solution.

Build Your Own Stages

Bonbaran! also includes a level editor for creating your own stages.

Set up your own traps and layouts, then prove they can be cleared by playing them yourself.

It is a different way to explore the same systems you use while solving the main game.
