Riggin Farm: Raw Land to Riches is a deep, long-form farming and business management RPG about two new farmers, Nick & Ashley, transforming 25 acres of undeveloped woodland into a thriving, diversified farm.

You don't inherit a barn, a tractor, or neatly prepared fields. You begin with raw land, limited money, and a decision: what kind of farm are you going to build?

Clear land. Build your home. Prepare your first growing areas. Raise livestock. Sell at farmers markets. Hire employees. Invest in infrastructure. Develop new enterprises. Survive bad weather, equipment failures, escaped animals, unexpected expenses, and all the other things that rarely appear in the brochure for starting a farm.

And then keep going.

Build a Farm From the Ground Up

Your farm develops over years, not days.

What begins as a small garden carved out of the woods can eventually become a complex agricultural business with vegetable production, livestock, markets, farm-store sales, employees, specialized infrastructure, and multiple sources of income.

You decide where to invest your time and money and how quickly you want to grow.

Expansion creates opportunity, but it also creates more work, more expenses, and more things that can go wrong.

Grow, Harvest, and Sell Realistically

Crops aren't simply planted and instantly turned into profit.

Different crops have different production cycles, harvest windows, yields, labor requirements, and market potential. Some crops can be harvested repeatedly while others give you one opportunity to get the timing right.

You'll need to decide what to grow, how much to plant, when to harvest, and where to sell it.

Producing a mountain of tomatoes doesn't mean much if your customers only want ten pounds.

Raise Livestock

Build livestock enterprises around animals such as pigs, cattle, and chickens.

Purchase animals, manage breeding, provide feed and infrastructure, maintain fencing, and deal with the unpredictable reality of keeping living creatures on a farm.

Animals can become valuable long-term assets, but they also require daily attention.

And yes, sometimes the pigs get out.

Run a Real Farm Business

Growing food is only part of the job.

You'll also have to figure out how to sell it.

Prepare for farmers markets, stock your booth, manage inventory and back stock, operate your farm store, work with customers, pursue wholesale opportunities, and decide which products deserve your limited table space.

As your farm grows, you'll make increasingly difficult decisions about pricing, labor, equipment, infrastructure, debt, and expansion.

A successful farm isn't necessarily the farm that produces the most.

It's the farm that can actually sell what it produces.

Build Your Market Booth

Farmers markets are an interactive part of the business rather than a simple "sell inventory" button.

Choose your tables, organize products, prepare back stock, and decide how to use your limited display space.

A full, attractive booth can encourage sales. Empty tables and poor product selection can hurt them.

Your market strategy may change from week to week depending on what's ready to harvest, what's sitting in inventory, and what your customers are actually buying.

Hire Employees and Manage a Growing Operation

Eventually, there may simply be too much work for two people.

Hire employees, assign responsibilities, manage labor costs, and gradually move from doing everything yourself to running a larger agricultural operation.

Growth can make your farm more profitable, but every new enterprise competes for the same limited resources:
