About This Software

XSG Studio — Build Your 3D Web Presence

XSG Studio is the world's first interactive graphical editor for the brand new XSG web (eXtendible Scene Graph). Think of XSG as HTML for 3D web: instead of publishing pages, you're publishing real-time 3D scenes to your webserver that anyone can visit through an XSG compatible browser such as Infinity (included), just by opening a URL.

What's included

  • Full scene editor — select, move, scale, rotate, cut/copy/paste, hide/unhide, undo. A node-based hierarchy editor lets you view and restructure your scene graph, rewire object relationships, and rename nodes directly.

  • Material Editor — build layered materials with texture coordinate scale/offset, tint, mip bias, opacity, double-sided flags, and material overrides so multiple instances of the same object can look different. Layers and mixers can be stacked for advanced surfaces, with full control available by editing the XSG file directly for anything not exposed in the GUI.

  • Light Editor and Particle Editor — tune colour and beam properties on lights; configure particle emitters, including live text emitters you can edit and see update instantly in-scene.

  • Real-time raytraced rendering — powered by Advance Software's Infinity technology, with a Safe Mode fallback for older hardware.

  • WYSIWYG workflow — XSG Studio runs using the same engine as Advance Software's Infinity browser, so hitting Run shows you exactly what visitors to your site will see. No export/build step between editing and testing.

  • Level of detail support — tune content to scale across different hardware, from high-end raytracing rigs down to safe-mode systems.

  • Third-party pipeline support — interoperates with 3ds Max, Blender, LightWave, and FBX, so you can bring in assets from the tools you already use. Because XSG is an open format, the tooling ecosystem will grow to support a wider range of packages.

  • Direct-to-web publishing — no proprietary hosting or platform lock-in. Finished scenes upload via standard FTP to any web server and are viewed through our free Infinity browser like any other website.

Who it's for

3D artists, world builders, and web developers who want to publish real-time interactive 3D content on the open web rather than inside a walled-garden platform — without giving up modern raytraced visual quality.

Used in combination with our XSG SDK, bring your creations to life via Web Assembly compatible languages of your choice.
