Wozu Early Access?

„Forgotten Grounds is entering Early Access to improve its survival experience with player feedback while the game continues to grow.

The Early Access version will offer a playable and balanced core survival loop in Green Valley. Player feedback will help guide balance changes, bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and priorities for future regions and systems.“

Wie lange wird dieses Spiel ungefähr den Early Access-Status haben?

„I expect Forgotten Grounds to remain in Early Access for approximately 9 to 18 months. This is an estimate rather than a guarantee, as the exact duration will depend on development time, testing, balancing, and feedback from the community.

I would rather keep the game in Early Access long enough to make each new region feel meaningful and stable than rush the full release.“

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„The full version is planned to expand beyond the Early Access version of Green Valley with at least three additional regions. Each region is intended to offer its own resources, risks, weather conditions, and reasons to explore.

The full version is also planned to include further survival systems, content, balance improvements, and quality-of-life features. The exact scope may evolve as development continues and player feedback helps shape the game.“

„At the start of Early Access, Forgotten Grounds will offer a complete and replayable core survival experience set in Green Valley. Players will be able to explore the region, scavenge resources, manage survival needs and sunlight exposure, use shelter and weather to plan travel, and interact with the survival systems available in the build.

Additional regions and some planned systems will not yet be available. The game will continue to receive content, balance, usability, and stability updates throughout Early Access.“

„Yes. I plan to increase the price gradually as substantial content, regions, and features are added during Early Access.

Any price changes will reflect the amount of playable content and the overall value of the current build. Whenever possible, planned price changes will be communicated in advance.“

„Feedback will be collected through Steam Discussions, Discord, YouTube, and email. I will use player reports and playtest feedback to identify bugs, balance issues, unclear mechanics, and quality-of-life priorities.

Not every suggestion will be implemented, but recurring and well-supported feedback will help shape the roadmap and future updates.“

Forgotten Grounds is a top-down pixel-art survival game about enduring an isolated wilderness while living with a lethal sun allergy. Clear daylight is not safety - it is a threat that can drain your strength, push your body toward lasting damage, and turn a simple journey into a desperate search for shelter.

Plan your days around shadows, abandoned buildings, changing weather, limited supplies, and the dangers waiting outside after dark.

► Reverse the Usual Survival Routine: Daytime is dangerous. Night, bad weather, shadows, and indoor shelter become strategic resources rather than simple atmosphere.

► Explore a Living Wilderness: Search forests, roads, abandoned buildings, and hidden locations for resources. Different regions offer their own risks, rewards, weather conditions, and reasons to keep moving.

► Survive With What You Find: Scavenge resources, craft essential tools, light fires, find food, collect water, and manage hunger, thirst, fatigue, stamina, sanity, and carrying capacity.

Repair damaged equipment, harvest items for useful materials, and decide whether a valuable tool is worth wearing down further.

► Face Wildlife and Isolation: The sun is not your only problem. Predators, limited resources, exhaustion, illness, and the long-term pressure of isolation can all threaten a run.

► Weather Changes the Rules: Weather affects visibility, sound, exploration, and sunlight exposure. Rain can offer relief from the sun, while fog and wind can make the world feel less predictable and more dangerous.

► Death is Permanent: Every decision carries weight when there is no second chance. If you die, your journey ends - and the save is gone with it.
