Why Early Access?

“From the first fire lit by a handful of people to a civilization that can look toward the stars, ORACLE follows the long passage of human work into technology. The history of the homeworld is already playable as a complete arc, but we did not want to decide its future behind closed doors. We chose Early Access so that the surprise, hesitation, and discoveries of people who actually raise these civilizations can help us refine the numbers, the voice of ORACLE, and the moments when one age gives way to the next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current estimate is roughly 6 to 12 months. It is a guide, not a promise carved in stone. We do not want to rush the stories born on the homeworld simply to reach the stars sooner; we want to listen, test, and grow ORACLE carefully into a version 1.0 that feels worthy of the journey.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access begins on the homeworld, where a civilization learns to survive, work, think, automate, and finally look up. For the full release, we plan to travel beyond that gaze with planetary expeditions, terraforming, and the rise of new planetary civilizations. We also plan to let the civilization archive and ORACLE's late-game voice reflect your chosen history more deeply. These plans may evolve with development and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Today, you can guide a civilization from a tiny population through work, resources, knowledge, and the gradual automation of its own way of life. Population and workforce management, skill and resource progression, conversations with ORACLE, civilization records, saving, Steam achievements, and interfaces in eight languages are all available. The final door beyond the homeworld is still closed, but you can lead your civilization all the way to its threshold.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Those who join us during Early Access can enter the story at the current price. As larger worlds and substantial features are added and ORACLE approaches version 1.0, we plan to raise the price gradually. We will always announce a change in advance rather than make it without warning.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The civilization you raise will not be the same as anyone else's. Tell us in the Steam Community: 'This moment moved me,' 'This number was hard to understand,' or 'I wish ORACLE had spoken here.' Bugs and balance matter, but so do the interface, accessibility, localization, and the moments you could not forget. Each is a clue to the future of ORACLE.”
