About This Game

Command the line

Banners & Frontlines is a single-player, turn-based card strategy game where each formation card represents a body of troops. Hold the front with infantry, support them with bowmen, and commit cavalry when an opening appears. Every command competes for limited resources: reinforce a threatened position, press the attack, or withdraw a battered formation before it breaks.

Build formations that fight together

Combine formations with supporting Wings, battlefield equipment, and Command attachments. Deploy a Wing as an independent unit or attach it to a compatible formation to unlock another way to fight. Shape your army around a battle banner's passive effect, then time your commander's active skill to support the plan.

Fight battles with a story

Follow campaigns inspired by the Hundred Years' War, from Edward III's expedition to Joan of Arc and the French recovery. Contest crossings, relieve besieged positions, and face assaults shaped by terrain and historical circumstances. Battle decisions and unfolding events can change reinforcements, open another front, or force a new priority. Read the battlefield as well as your hand.

Make your own fortune in Free Company

Lead a mercenary company through a roguelite run. Choose contracts, recruit troops, claim defeated commanders' banners, and rebuild your battle muster between fights. Army Resolve carries forward, while wages and recovery compete for your coin. A tempting recruit can strengthen the line and stretch the payroll; a richer contract can leave you too battered for the next battle.

Explore the history behind your army

Browse the in-game historical library to learn more about the troops, commanders, and campaigns behind the cards. Experiment with army builds in Skirmish, or begin with the guided tutorial before taking command of a larger battlefield.
