DeltaV is a turn-based strategy game set across the Solar System in 2079 and grounded in hard science fiction. Delta-v is the only resource, shared across the entire fleet. Every ship and order is visible, and nothing is decided at random, so winning depends on planning the fleet as a whole.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“DeltaV is already playable from initial setup to victory. Early Access will focus on the areas that benefit most from wider playtesting: onboarding, interface clarity, AI, procedural balance, match pacing, accessibility and stability.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last 6 to 12 months. This is an estimate, not a fixed deadline. Version 1.0 will launch when onboarding, AI, balance and stability meet our target.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For version 1.0, we plan to improve onboarding, AI, match setup, procedural layouts, accessibility and quality-of-life features. Online PvP is also planned during Early Access, but it will not be available at launch. These plans may change with development and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build supports complete single-player matches from setup to victory against one or two AI-controlled factions. It includes orbital transfers, one fleet-wide delta-v reserve, tritium plants, shipyards, contested orbits, mandatory launches, missiles, evade point defense and procedural layouts.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect the Early Access price to be lower than the version 1.0 price. Any change will be announced in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will collect feedback through Steam Discussions, the in-game bug reporter and public update notes. We are especially interested in tutorial completion, unclear information, AI behavior, procedural balance, match length and reproducible bugs.”

About This Game

DeltaV is a deterministic turn-based strategy game set across the Solar System in 2079 with no fog of war and no random combat. Winning means keeping your own fleet refueled while preventing the enemy from doing the same.

One reserve for the entire fleet

Delta-v pays for orbital transfers, point defense against incoming missiles, and the upkeep required to remain in a contested orbit. Because every ship uses the same reserve, moving one vessel can leave another unable to reposition or defend itself. Operating tritium factories is the only way to replenish that reserve. Access to them determines how long your fleet can continue to move, fight, and hold strategic positions.

Plan with complete information

Before issuing a movement order you can preview its route, delta-v cost and arrival turn. Planets and moons march along their orbits. Missile attacks and point defense are entirely deterministic. There are no hit chances or damage points.

Victory depends on fuel access

Tritium factories increase fuel reserves while your ships operate them. The last faction with a viable path to tritium wins. You can deny that path by destroying ships, controlling important orbits or making an opponent spend too much delta-v.

Procedural layouts change for every game

Early Access launches with single-player matches against one or two AI-controlled factions. Online PvP is planned during development.

  • Complete single-player matches against one or two AI-controlled factions

  • Procedural layouts using planets and moons across the Solar System

  • One fleet-wide delta-v reserve shared by every ship

  • Complete information, including every ship, order, route, cost, and arrival turn

  • Orbital transfers across a continuously moving planetary system

  • Deterministic missile attacks and point defense, with no hit chances or damage rolls

  • Tritium production, shipyard construction, contested orbits, and mandatory launches

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with drafting and editing some written content, lore and localization. All AI-assisted material was reviewed and revised by the developer before inclusion. DeltaV does not generate content during gameplay and does not connect to any generative AI service. Its computer-controlled opponents use conventional rule-based game logic, not generative AI.
