About This Game

DEAD RECALL is a 2D side-scrolling survival action shooter roguelite set amid a modern war being consumed by organisms known as the Aberrants.

AIM. FIRE. SURVIVE.

Take direct control of the machine gun mounted on an armored vehicle carrying an artificial brain. Aim with the mouse and choose every direction and moment of fire yourself—attacks are never automatic. Move, hover, descend rapidly, and reposition to intercept biological threats advancing from the ground and the sky.

EVOLVE YOUR BUILD WITH BIOMASS

Harvest biomass and select Neural Branches. Combine ammunition traits such as homing rounds, armor-piercing rounds, grenades, and ricochets with vehicle upgrades and equipment including the Arm, Slaughter Bumper, and Strong Acid Tank. Each choice reshapes your area control, close-range lethality, and endurance.

A BIOLOGICAL THREAT THAT ESCALATES

Face ordinary Aberrants, Abnormal Specimens born from failed fusion between multiple organisms, and powerful Neural Relay Organisms. Enemy variety and combat pressure intensify as you advance through three distinct sectors.

RECONSTRUCT THE WAR FROM ITS FRAGMENTS

Collect Aberrant Investigation Records and dated documents marked with their discovery locations. Piece together what happened to this world and trace the origin of the weapon consuming it.

FULL VERSION

The full version is planned to feature eight vehicles with distinct handling and combat characteristics, and eight stages. Each stage will introduce its own battlefield theme and unique Aberrants, expanding the range of combat styles, builds, and biological threats.

STEAM DEMO

The planned demo will include the opening cinematic and the complete first stage: progression through three sectors, the build system, Abnormal Specimens, Neural Relay Organisms, and the stage-clear objective.
