A summer spent at his grandparents' countryside home, in the 47th year of Shōwa (1972). Melodies that flow through the quiet life of the village, somehow nostalgic, yet stirring something deep within. A forbidden mountain, a row of weathered torii gates, an old shrine standing quietly by the lake — woven together with these scenes from the story, the music paints nostalgia, mystery, and the bittersweet ache of reunion in sound. A reunion after years apart — though they know each other's names, there's no guarantee that certainty will hold — that same quiet foreboding breathes through every corner of the melodies, making this an album for the ages, one you'll find yourself returning to again and again, long after the ending.
