“The football career is playable, and player feedback can help us improve how match decisions, selection, and club life connect across seasons. We want to learn which choices are clear and satisfying, and where the career becomes repetitive or hard to read.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Matchday: Player Career to remain in Early Access for around 18 months. This is an estimate and may change as we develop the game with player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to deepen match play, broaden career situations and choices, and add more variety and polish across seasons. Player feedback may change the order or scope of that work.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is planned to begin with a single-player, multiseason career in a fictional Danish league. You begin as a forward, compete for selection, take charge during match passages, interact with people at the club, and follow your performances and relationships through the seasons. We will update this description to match the playable build when Early Access opens.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect the Early Access price to stay roughly the same while the game develops. We currently plan to raise it when the game reaches full release and will communicate any change in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam Discussions and update notes to gather feedback and explain changes. We are especially interested in match readability, career pacing, and whether choices have consequences players can understand.”

LIVE A FOOTBALLER'S CAREER

Earn your place in the team and decide what to do with it. Matchday: Player Career follows one player through the matches, conversations, setbacks, and opportunities that make a football life. Your performances matter, but so do the people who play beside you and the choices you make when the final whistle blows.

MAKE YOUR MOMENTS COUNT

Follow matches as they unfold around your player. When an attacking passage puts the ball at your feet, step onto a 2D pitch to pick a pass, carry into space, or take a shot while both teams keep moving. Your ability and condition affect what you can pull off. The result becomes part of the match, your player record, and the story of your season.

FIND YOUR PLACE AT THE CLUB

Speak with your coach, teammates, and agent. Ask for a chance to start, back a teammate, make a promise, or explore a move. People have their own priorities and remember how you treated them. A conversation can change your standing in the squad; a performance on Saturday can change the next conversation.

SEE WHERE THE SEASONS TAKE YOU

Play through a world of fictional clubs, fixtures, league tables, promotion and relegation. Injuries and form can open or close a place in the side. At the end of a season, you might stay with the people who know you or take an offer elsewhere. Your career record keeps the goals, appearances, clubs, and seasons that got you there.

There is more than one way to have a career worth remembering. Fight for a starting place, help your club climb, or build a long football life on your own terms.
