20 years ago your parents departed to the End of the Line and never returned. Now, a mysterious stranger has delivered their journal to you. Within it they left a final message, a plea for you to finish what they couldn't. You must assemble a crew of Railors, board a train, and head to the End of the Line in order to save the world.

The World of The End of the Line

The End of the Line takes place in a post-apocalyptic world full of history and mystery. You start in Hope's End, nearly as far east as the ancient train tracks go, about as far from The End of the Line as possible. Back in your parents' day, this was a bustling railport where Railors (those who traveled by rail) used to start their journeys. Unfortunately, those days were ending even before your parents headed out. All around you the world is dying. The town is mostly empty. All of the heroes have left. Beckoned by your parents' message, it now falls to you, the Conductor, to assemble a crew of Railors from the remaining warriors, townspeople of Hope's End and eccentrics beyond the walls. Along the way, you'll uncover deep truths about the world, why it fell, and if it can be saved.

Railors, Your Crew and Friends

Collect a cast of unique and memorable characters to utilize their special abilities in both combat and exploration. Build a balanced team that can help you stealthily avoid combat, farm resources, devastate enemies or more. Each Railor brings with them their own story that you shape with your choices. Those of which may have drastic effects on who they are as a person. Discover their motivations for joining you on this journey and engage with their deep interconnected relationships amongst of our great cast of characters.

Your Choices, Your Consequences

The End of the Line: New Age is a choose your own adventure RPG with a strong emphasis on choices and consequences in every chapter. Each chapter is a new stop along the rails to The End of the Line. Each stop is dealing with its own problems that only you and your crew of Railors can solve. The outcomes of each chapter can vary wildly based on your choices. The fate of each stop, the Queen's Forest, and the world itself will be shaped by those choices.

Tactical Turn Based Combat Evolved

Combat is turn-based, with a strong emphasis on positioning. Utilize each Railor's unique set of active and passive abilities to overcome tough enemies. You'll fight against a diverse and growing roster of enemies such as: infected beasts of the forest, various bandit hordes, mind-bending eldritch beings, and more. Using your QTEs during combat, you'll be able to maximize your damage output while minimizing, and often outright dodging, enemy attacks. Positioning matters too. The closer you are to the frontline the more often you get to act, but it also leaves you vulnerable. Most melee abilities can only target the front row, but many Railors have multi-hit or penetrating attacks. Use a combination of team-building, tactics, and QTE skills to overcome even the toughest enemies.

Explore the Queen's Forest

In each mission, you must trailblaze a path through the dense Queen's Forest to your goal. Every level provides new and unique challenges, hidden treasures to find, and lore to discover. Your Railors possess special "Exploration Abilities" to allow you to make the most out of your journey. But be warned, time is against you. Every action costs time, and if night falls, dangerous and nigh unkillable Draugr will emerge from their burrows to hunt your crew. Leverage information-gathering abilities and stealth abilities to avoid enemy encounters, saving you precious time. Bring along Railors with collectible-finding skills or skills that multiply picked-up items. Think carefully about who you bring and what route you choose to follow. Every step has its consequences.
