About This Game

Young Gabriella leaves home on an Adventure to discover her past, and face a growing darkness that now threatens her once peaceful land.  After her caretaker is suddenly transformed into a mysterious "Black Swan", Gabriella is on a quest to find the elusive, "Elise", who may hold the key to overcoming the darkness.  Join Gabriella as she ventures toward unknown lands beyond the horizon, offering aide to strangers and friends along the way, giving help and receiving help in return, ultimately to confront the darkness once and for all, and heal the wounds of a fallen kingdom.

The Callahan Curse explores themes of sacrifice, family love, connection, and facing the dangers in our own lives with faith and determination. 

The Callahan Curse was created by solo developer, Artist Composer - Isaac Lundgren, who has been active in the adventure game community for many years, and who currently works as a public school Art and Design instructor for a local high school.  This 2D Point and Click Fantasy Adventure game features Hand Painted backgrounds, 2D Animated characters, hand-composed original music, original story, and fully voiced characters!  A passion project, more than 20 years in production!  Inspired by the Golden Age of Adventure Gaming from the late 80's-90's, The Callahan Curse is sure to bring you back to that fantasy land of yesteryear to go on a new adventure of your own.  Come and Play, The Callahan Curse!

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

All art, music and story are 100% human created. All voice acting has a live voice actor recording/performance for every line of dialogue, voice changers were used on certain characters to pitch the sound higher or lower to better suit those specific characters. Some artist-created hand-painted assets were positioned into specific starting poses and ending poses, with in-between frames generated (affecting less-than 1% of the game animations, majority (99%) are animated by hand using 2D-bone-rigging and frame-by-frame animation), some generated in-between frames were then hand-painted over before being included in the game.
