Space is huge. Monsters are nasty. Alien poop sells for a fortune. SCHIT HUNTER is an absurd co-op sci-fi roguelite shooter where you hunt, fuse, fire, and occasionally eat alien poop. Mutate, weaponize your weirdness, and extract before the whole mission goes to shit.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“For a small development team of fewer than 10 people like ours, Early Access isn't simply about releasing the game early — it's an important part of our development process.
When you're heads-down developing a game, it's easy to get stuck in your own assumptions and become a little too attached to your own ideas. But once the game is actually in players' hands, the experience can turn out very differently. We don't want Schit Hunter to be developed in a bubble and lose sight of what actually makes the game fun for players.
That's why we want to bring Schit Hunter to you as early as possible through Early Access.
Throughout development, we'll continue listening closely to the community and gathering feedback on gameplay, controls, balance, content, and the overall experience. Your feedback will be an important part of how we evaluate the game's direction, helping us identify problems, adjust our designs, and decide which ideas and features deserve further development.
We also understand that Early Access means the game is still growing. Some parts may not be fully polished, some ideas may still need work, and there will inevitably be issues along the way. Rather than developing everything behind closed doors until we think it's "finished," we'd much rather open up that process and share it with you.
Our goal is to build long-term trust with our community by listening carefully to your feedback, communicating openly about development, and taking responsibility for the changes and decisions we make.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the Early Access period to last approximately 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we plan to add new types of poop, missions, maps, enemies, and a richer and more diverse alien ecosystem. We also plan to introduce new weapons and additional character customization options.
Throughout Early Access, we'll continue updating and expanding the existing content while refining game balance and improving the overall experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is planned to include:
- 5 maps featuring a variety of missions
- 5 distinct weapons with different playstyles
- Over 200 types of poop
- Over 50 mutations
- 6 character customization options
- 1 complete cosmetic set”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to adjust the price when the game reaches its full release.
As we continue adding content, the 1.0 version will offer substantially more than the Early Access version, and the price will increase accordingly.
Players who purchase the game during Early Access will automatically receive the full version when it launches, with no additional purchase required.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll actively follow discussions in the Steam Community, player reviews, and other community channels, gathering feedback on gameplay, balance, new content, bugs, and more.
Your feedback will be an important reference when we adjust and plan future development. We'll also share our progress through update announcements and community discussions.
So please don't hesitate to send us your suggestions, feedback, or even your complaints — and help us turn this cosmic masterpiece of schit into something even better!”

About This Game

WELCOME ABOARD, POOP PROSPECTOR

Space is huge. Monsters are everywhere. And somewhere out there, alien poop is worth a small fortune.

You and your crew drop into hostile worlds to take on contracts, grab anything that isn’t nailed down, deal with the locals, and haul your precious cargo back to the ship.

Sounds easy enough—right up until your buddy eats a glowing turd and sprouts six legs.

FIND IT. FUSE IT. FIRE IT.

Around here, poop isn’t just loot. It’s your ammo, your upgrade material, and the backbone of your build.

Find it, juice it up, and mash different specimens together. Mix fire, frost, lightning, poison, and all kinds of effects that science would rather not explain.

Build the perfect killing machine—or make such a spectacular mess that nobody knows what’s happening anymore. If you get back to the ship alive, it counts.

EAT SHIT AND EVOLVE

Some monsters leave behind mysterious droppings loaded with alien DNA. Swallow one and you’ll inherit its powers, along with a body no respectable scientist would approve of.

Every mutation can reshape your abilities, your playstyle, and whatever dignity you had left. You never know what the next bite will turn you into—or what six-eyed, noodle-armed nightmare your teammate will become before swooping in to save you.

GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER—AND BRING IT HOME

Anything you extract belongs to you. Spend your haul aboard the ship to modify weapons, unlock new upgrade paths, and develop your character’s talents your way.

Every valuable lump you drag home gives you more ways to tackle the next run—harder, faster, smarter, or just considerably weirder.

NO CREW MEMBER—OR TURD—LEFT BEHIND

Procedurally generated maps, randomized contracts, and unpredictable loot mean every expedition comes with a fresh set of bad decisions.

Scavenge. Complete the job. Kill monsters. Rescue your friends. Know when to run.

Work together, get your builds online, and haul the good stuff back to the ship. The plan may fall apart. Your crew may mutate beyond recognition. The whole operation may go completely off the rails.

But if you make it home alive and filthy rich, that’s a job well done.
