Devlog - New Content Patch

Hello everyone! I think it's time for a quick update on the game. Welcome to the second devlog!

New Content

Since the launch, we have been hard at work adding more content to the demo.

To make the game's goal clearer, we added these mysterious white doors to the game. They are, in a sense, the main goal of the game. Finding them and opening them will be up to you!

We are planning a total of 3 such doors to be present in the demo. Then, we will focus on polishing the experience as much as possible while we work on the full game.

In addition to that, here's a non-exhaustive list of what was added:

• Reworked the 3rd floor puzzle

• Added an end of demo screen

• Added new "carriable" mechanic

• Added two overarching puzzles

• Fixed a bunch of text and UI bugs

• Added more files and emails in computers to find

• Polished some of the cutscene animations

All in all, we added a lot of content and quality of life. And we are still working on improving the experience, as well as adding one last puzzle.

YouTubers and Streamers

The demo was released two weeks ago and as usual, the reception has been incredible. We started to see content creators trickle into the office, and seeing their reactions is a blast!

Speaking of which, if you are looking into featuring our demo, give us a quick heads up. We'll be sure to be there. We are also working on a small compilation of reactions. If you want to take part in that, let us know!

Demo Release!!!

We made it!!!

The demo is out! Yesterday, I clicked the green button, to release the demo to all of you good folks! You can get it here!

This is a big milestone for us. While there is still a good amount of road ahead, I very confident that this demo will help give people a sense of what the game can become! Here is a list of what you can find the the game:

• unique puzzle design

• layers of lore to discover

• immersive ambience supported by voice acting

The demo features 4 out of the planned 10 levels from the full game, and a glimpse at the multiple layers of lore and mystery. For now, our focus will be on polishing the demo exprience by fixing some visual bugs, adding sound effects, and making the UI flow better. There will also be more content added to the demo, with a clearer ending. More info on that in due time!

About This Demo

This is a demo

The current game is a preview of the full game. It contains 4 out of the 10 levels planned, and has smaller amount of over-arching riddles.

The World

Ruptured Floor is a horror puzzle game, set in a surreal non-eucledean office space. In the office, you will find remnants of the protagonists life, desguised as employees. Not all of them are friendly, so be aware. The story unveils dark memories uncovered and manifested through a nightmarish lens.

Monsters and other employees will chase you down. Walls and objects disappear or move when you are not looking. This place isn't kind to you but, it is your home. For now. 

The Gameplay

You must escape this place. Solve cryptic puzzles to unlock the exit. The solution is known but, you must find how to input it into the different locks, either by manipulating the environment, or finding hidden objects to interact with.

Ruptured Floor is a first person game with very minimal interactions. Looking and moving around is your main source of interaction. You are disarmed, and vulnerable.

The Levels

Every level is unique, and will offer a new set of challenges, such as maze navigation, or spatial reasoning puzzles with moving objects.

On top of that, some riddles go a step further. You will need to find hidden clues across the whole game to find the greater mysteries.
