Why Early Access?

“This game is still in development, but is currently playable. Core mechanics and content have been implemented, but there are many plans to add more content and polish the overall game. I hope to add more content like enemies, cards, areas, and special events. I also wish to polish the game by adding unit animations, more/better sound effects, improve the tutorial to be more intuitive.

I am very interested in feedback players will have and am prepared to implement changes suggested from playtests. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game will be Early Access for several months, roughly until summer of 2027 while content is added and mechanics are polished. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include more gameplay with improved mechanics. There will be more areas of enemies and sites to discover. There will also be many more cards added that the player can find throughout their runs. Additionally, units and cards will have more polished effects. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable with 1 themed area, 5 different enemies, 1 special site, 6 playable characters, and 42 unique cards. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The game will be free both during Early Access and after full release. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback will be gathered from players either by in-game submission, or a link to an external form that is present in-game. ”

About This Game

Build Your Deck.

As players get further into the forest with each successful encounter, they can upgrade their decks by replacing one of their current cards. Each card is assigned a category. A deck consists of 6 categories: 

  • Physical: Mostly attacks the enemy

  • Defense: Mostly provides block

  • Ally: Summons an ally to help fight

  • Magical: Mostly attacks the enemy

  • Spirit: Summons a spirit to buff the character

  • Drink: Mostly heals the character

Choose Your Crawler. 

Players select between 6 different creatures to explore the deep forest and vanquish enemies: Beaver, Badger, Fox, Skunk, Opossum, and Otter. Characters can be unlocked by winning a run with the previous character, or are all unlocked with Free Play mode. 

Command Allies and Spirits

Cards can summon helpful allies and powerful spirits. Allies will take damage before the character does, along with a separate ability that is unique to them. Spirits provide buffs to the character to make other cards stronger.
