Connect to your own Tater Tube Server to watch The Tube and receive server-powered features such as personalized Tater Picks.

Your media in one interface

  • Browse your own Plex, Emby, or Jellyfin library.

  • Play local video and audio files.

  • Watch live television from your HDHomeRun.

  • Stream a PC running Sunshine through PC Link.

Game Center and RetroNAS

Browse and launch supported games from your RetroNAS library through Game Center. Tater Tube can use a read-only network mount or cache the selected game locally when mounting is unavailable.

Tater Tube does not include games, ROMs, BIOS files, media, subscriptions, or access credentials. You are responsible for supplying and being authorized to use your content and third-party services.

Free and open source

Tater Tube is free, open source, and contains no advertising or analytics. No Tater Tube account is required.

Steam Deck controller setup

For full gamepad controls on Steam Deck, open Tater Tube's Controller Settings, choose Templates > Gamepad, and apply the layout before launching. This replaces Steam's keyboard-and-mouse fallback with standard gamepad controls and removes the right-stick mouse cursor.
