Blackdoor's music was never meant to be foreground. It was built to sit behind a terminal while you read logs, write scripts, and wait out a trace - warm, loop-based, lo-fi, the kind of thing you'd put on to work and forget was even playing.

Every track is procedurally generated by the game's own audio engine rather than hand-sampled or sequenced in a DAW - synthesized oscillators, a shared multi-tap reverb, and a deliberately small, constrained palette (the same one the game's own scripting language uses as its design philosophy: simple pieces, used well). Each one still has its own identity - a real motif, a distinct mood, its own reason to exist - rather than being the same loop with the numbers changed.
