About This Demo

This is no longer first-move-wins, one-move-each traditional Gomoku.

The Gomoklear Demo is a connect-five-to-clear Gomoku strategy roguelike. Form a five, and the whole line leaves the board; new pieces land and spawn; pieces are moved, removed, transformed—the board rewrites on the spot. Two plays a Round, one for the Rival. Collect powered pieces and Manuscripts, build your Library at Serendipity and the Stall.

In Gomoklear, every piece carries a different power:

spawn new pieces around it when placed, shove aside Enemy pieces that hem you in, or remove them from the board outright. Turn Enemy pieces to your side, gain extra Turns to play, even reshape the Field…

In the chaos these powered pieces make, Gomoku Lines fire again and again. Within the Round Limit, chase a higher count!

Choose a Playstyle at the start, and take a distinct starting Library and Manuscript with you.

After a Match, collect new pieces and grow your Library;

at the Stall, buy Manuscripts and pick the pieces you want.
