The year is 2050. You're failing History and P.E. — so your teacher drops you into an AI simulation of the past. Chase down real historical figures, study who they truly were, and decide who history keeps. A cute catch-and-judge game with the soul of an ethics class.

About This Demo

WHAT'S IN THIS DEMO

This free demo is a complete, self-contained slice of Rewritten: Chasing History:

• The full prologue film

• The complete step-by-step tutorial

• Rome: Twilight of the Republic — the first campaign map, with 15 real historical figures and their full illustrated Codex entries

• Athens: The Golden Age — a second era, unlocked by passing Rome

• The Custom Game map editor (sessions capped at 10 minutes in the demo)

• All four difficulty modes, the full ability set, achievements and unlockable avatars

The full game will add more historical eras beyond Rome and Athens, uncapped Custom Game sessions, and a team PvP mode after launch.

You decide who history keeps.

The year is 2050. You're a teenager flunking two subjects at once — History and P.E. Your teacher's solution? Drop you into an ultra-realistic AI simulation of the past, where the only way to pass is to run, catch, and judge the people who shaped the world.

TWO SUBJECTS, ONE CHASE

Every map grades you on two report cards at once:

• P.E. — how many marked figures you physically chase down and catch.

• History — whether you catch the RIGHT ones. Pull a net-negative figure out of the timeline and the simulated world heals; remove a pillar and it crumbles.

HISTORY THAT PUSHES BACK

The people you meet are real — Caesar, Cleopatra, Cicero, Socrates, Pericles — tangled in a living web of cause and effect. Remove Crassus and Caesar's rise falters. Remove Cicero and the Renaissance loses a voice. There are no heroes and villains, only trade-offs — and over-correcting the past costs as much as leaving it alone.

READ BEFORE YOU JUDGE

Open the in-game Codex and read a rich, illustrated biography of every figure before you decide their fate — a real history encyclopedia hiding inside a chase game.

A TOYBOX OF GADGETS

You're inside a simulation, so you don't fight — you hack it. Dash, freeze time, scan through walls, throw bubble-traps, drop decoys, lasso your targets. Abilities are scattered across each map, Quake-style.

CUTE ON THE SURFACE, SERIOUS UNDERNEATH

A bright, storybook world any kid can enjoy — carrying questions that don't have easy answers.

FEATURES

• 27 real historical figures with full illustrated Codex entries

• A counterfactual grading system where your choices ripple through a causal network

• Four difficulty modes — from a relaxed sandbox to a merciless run

• Build your own maps in Custom Game
