About This Demo

Play the complete Northern Saga in this free demo: three linked battles across Scandinavia, England, and the Seine. Found a capital, build your economy, and capture rival capitals. Give orders directly on the map rather than moving individual squads.

Build your realm

Build settlements to grow your army, marketplaces to earn gold, and castles to strengthen your position. Connect your buildings with roads. Balance spending on growth with keeping enough troops to hold your borders.

Choose your tactics

A Cavalry Charge can cut a fast route through enemy territory, but Palisades will stop it. An exposed coast offers another way in: launch a Naval Landing and force your rival to defend a new front. Check the sinking risk before committing your troops. Sometimes the better move is to fortify your own border and let the enemy spend troops breaking through.

What’s in the demo

Play all three battles of the Northern Saga against AI opponents. Between battles, choose a legacy upgrade that stays with you for the rest of the campaign. Want to try a different plan? Return to any battle you have reached in Practice.

The full game includes five campaigns, sixteen scenarios, and configurable Skirmish. Online multiplayer is available only in the full Steam game.
