Train of Thought – Murder on the Silver Line is a narrative-driven detective mystery game that combines exploration, puzzles and logical deduction into a handcrafted whodunit experience. As you jump into the role of Maeve Ashford, a renowned detective from London, search for interactables, converse with a cast of memorable passengers, solve intricate puzzles, and organize your findings on an immersive deduction board as you unravel your presence aboard a luxurious 1920s train heading to Budapest.

Inspired by classic detective fiction and modern narrative adventures, Train of Thought rewards careful observation and critical thinking. Rather than simply collecting evidence, you'll analyze, connect and interpret every piece of information yourself. Every statement, every object and every discovery could become the missing piece of a puzzle.

As for the state of ACADEMIC VERSION, this game was created as part of the study program at FH Salzburg and released here with it's latest build. The passionate team behind this project will work on a further developed game, so stay tuned and enjoy this version!

At the heart of the investigation lies an interactive deduction board stored inside your detective suitcase. Pin clues, write notes, draw connections between pieces of evidence and organize your theories however you see fit. Your board evolves alongside your investigation, becoming a visual representation of your own reasoning process rather than a simple quest log.
