Why Early Access?

“This game is a solo development project. I want to build the rest of the game with the help of community feedback. I plan on involving the community in playtests so I can release the game with good content, accessibility, and design.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The timeline for Early Access will depend on how much progress I'm able to make on the game. I plan on releasing the game in 1.0 within the next 2 years but it will depend on a lot of factors.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version should include multiple stages with different environments, enemies, and bosses. Each stage should feel distinctly different, challenging the player in different ways. Some additional features includes a trials mode, where the player can challenge a series of time trials. 1.0 features also include steam achievements, steam leaderboards, better controller support, and more extensive settings.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Early Access includes only one stage with 3 unique enemies and a boss. Players will be able to challenge the boss and unlock endless mode for stage 1. Trials mode and Steam Leaderboards will be the next priority heading into Early Access release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game stay the same price as Early Access release with occasional sales.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I have a discord server where I'll be hosting polls, recording player feedback, and posting consistent game updates.

First Draft is a fast-paced aerial arcade combat game where you take to the skies as a paper airplane. Battle through unique levels filled with diverse environments, enemies, and challenging bosses.

Development

First Draft is a solo game development project that started out as a game jam project. Content updates will continue to be made after Early Access release.
