What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“ZERO POINT is being released in Early Access to gather player feedback and improve the overall stability and quality of the game before its full release.

The core gameplay experience is already available, but some final content, including the ending cutscene, has not yet been completed. During Early Access, I plan to focus primarily on fixing bugs, improving performance, and addressing issues reported by players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“ZERO POINT is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately six months.

However, this schedule may change depending on development progress and the number of issues discovered during Early Access. Our current plan is to remain in Early Access while we continue evaluating the overall stability and completeness of the experience. The timing of the full release may change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our current plans for the full version include adding an ending cutscene and continuing to refine the game through bug fixes, performance improvements, balance adjustments, and general polishing based on feedback received during Early Access.

These plans may change depending on development progress and player feedback. The core gameplay and overall structure are currently expected to remain broadly similar.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the main playable experience and core action systems described in the “About This Game” section.

Players can complete the tutorial and progress through multiple combat stages leading to boss encounters. The currently implemented combat systems include switching between melee and ranged combat, combo and charged attacks, dodging, timed parrying and guarding, transformation, and the style rank system.

The stages include combat encounters as well as stage-specific hazards and interactive objectives. These currently include homing missile barrages, lightning strikes, tracking laser attacks, Overclock enemy encounters, Core Capacitor and Unstable Core mechanics, and an energy supply neutralization sequence featuring timing-based QTE inputs.

Boss encounters include multiple phases and distinct attack patterns, including close-range and ranged attacks, guard, weakness and counter states, grab attacks, and phase transitions.

The main gameplay content and core combat systems are currently playable. However, the ending cinematic has not yet been implemented. For the full version, we plan to further refine the overall experience based on development progress and player feedback. Areas currently being considered include additional narrative presentation, bug fixes, balance and difficulty adjustments, usability and performance improvements, and further visual and audio polish. These plans may change as development continues.

Depending on player reception and the overall response to the game, we may also consider developing additional content or paid DLC after release. However, no additional content or DLC has been confirmed at this time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to keep the price unchanged during Early Access and after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use community feedback primarily to identify bugs, crashes, performance problems, and other issues that negatively affect the gameplay experience.

Player reports and discussions may also be considered when reviewing game balance and overall usability. Players can provide feedback through the Steam Community Discussions, as well as through our YouTube and Instagram accounts.

When appropriate, we may share development information and notable changes through Steam announcements and our social media channels.”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with pre-generated content only.

AI-assisted content includes one promotional artwork asset used in the Steam store capsule and library assets, AI-generated imagery used in the game's story description, some in-game sound assets, localization and translation, and portions of certain 3D models.

All AI-assisted outputs were reviewed, selected, edited where necessary, and integrated by the developer before being included in the game or on the Steam store page.

The game does not generate content using AI while it is running, does not connect players to any generative AI service, and does not send player input to an AI service.
