About This Game

War brews on the mainland as more and more people flee westward in search of a new beginning.
Rather than wait to be drafted, you sign on as a lieutenant aboard an Imperial convoy bound for the islands.

But the voyage is perilous. The open seas are unforgiving. The fog hides dangers no navigator can explain. Disaster strikes during the voyage, sinking and scattering the convoy, leaving your ship barely afloat. Through the mist, you spot a beacon. The colonies are in sight.

• Chart your course

  The golden sun never sets over the Twilight Archipelago.

  The Empire has no hold over these lands, and you owe allegiance to no one. Embrace the life of a trader, privateer, pirate, or explorer as you sail freely between dozens of inhabited and untamed islands.

  The sea may seem empty but many events will shape your voyage.

• Build your flotilla

  Whether purchased from a shipyard or commandeered from your enemies, pick from over 30 ships from 5 factions, ranging from nimble corvettes to lumbering battleships.

  Customize each vessel with upgrades for the engines, cannons, armor, and other specialized equipment to suit your preferred style of play. Recruit privateer captains to sail alongside you, strengthening your flotilla for trade, exploration, or the battles that await beyond the horizon.

• Master your trade

  Establish profitable trade routes. The Archipelago thrives on commerce and opportunities. Buy goods from ports that produce them, where they are plentiful, and deliver them to ports that need them.

  Protect the waters from pirates or become one yourself. Hunt down ships based on contracts, find roaming pirates and dispatch them, or turn your cannons towards every passing trade ship. It is a risky but lucrative business.

  Explore the uncharted islands. Find shipwrecks to loot, lost cargo, ruins to plunder of technology and answers, all while gaining the wisdom to separate treasure from danger.
