About This Game

ONE MORE HIT is a single-player roguelite blackjack game. Your purchase includes a 12-level pit climb, boss fights, draft upgrades, three side-bet systems, Endless mode with Steam leaderboards, multiple characters, meta shops, consumables, cosmetics, achievements, and optional strategy coaching.

You are not stuck at one table forever. You climb a casino pit — ante by ante, floor by floor — hitting bankroll quotas, drafting power-ups that change the math of the next hands, and facing boss dealers who rewrite the house rules. Survive long enough and you can push into Endless for high scores, or cash out and bank the run.

Genre: Roguelite / strategy card game built on real blackjack rules. Fantasy: High-stakes casino pit climb with a witty guide, named bosses, and a story arc that ends at the house’s last out. Session length: Most runs take about 20–45 minutes. Hands stay fast; the depth is in builds, bosses, and whether you risk one more ante.

What you do in a run

  • Start a run with a playable character and a starting bankroll.

  • Play blackjack — Hit, Stand, Double, Split, and Surrender when the table allows.

  • Place side bets (Fortune, TriLux, Buster) to chase bigger payouts or recover a cold shoe.

  • Hit the ante quota — grow your bankroll to the goal before the pit closes the table on you.

  • Draft an upgrade — choose 1 of 3 cards that boost payouts, odds, bankroll tools, or side-bet power.

  • Clear the level boss — a named table with twisted rules.

  • Ascend to the next floor for tokens and progress, or enter Endless and keep climbing for score.

Story & goals The pit climb is a continuous 12-chapter arc — from audition floors and whisper tables up through royal heat and enforcement, ending with Dealer Greg as the house’s last out. Between floors, your guide narrates the climb; bosses speak their own threats.

Short-term goals: reach each ante’s bankroll quota, build a draft stack that survives the next boss rules, and earn House Tokens, gold, XP, and unlocks. Long-term goals: clear all 12 pit levels, push Endless scores onto the Steam leaderboard, unlock characters/skins/card backs, buy permanent shop upgrades, and complete Steam achievements.

Blackjack mechanics included • Standard multi-deck shoe play with Hit, Stand, Double, Split, and Surrender (when allowed) • Insurance and classic table payouts (blackjack typically pays 3:2 unless a boss changes it) • Side-bet spots for Fortune, TriLux, and Buster • Optional basic strategy hints in Settings for learning optimal decisions

Side bets (build identity) • Fortune — jackpot-style outcomes (suited big hitters, any 21, and other combo pays) • TriLux — poker-hand style side bets (straight flush, three of a kind, and related pays) • Buster — pays when the dealer busts with extra cards; higher card counts can mean huge multipliers

Draft picks, consumables, and character passives let you lean into one lane — or mix all three.

Challenges & bosses Each of the 12 levels ends in a boss ante with a unique rule set. Examples include: • Dealer 22 pushes instead of busting • Chance of rigged dealer 21 • Lower max bets and tighter bankroll pressure • Blackjack pays 6:5 • No surrender / no double after split • Combinations of the above on late floors

Bosses include personalities like Pit Boss Vera, Professor Odds, Casino Queen, Casino King, Sethy Gambles, and Dealer Greg.

Character progression • Multiple playable characters, each with a unique passive (Fortune bias, TriLux bias, split-win bonuses, and more) • Character XP and levels that persist between runs • Unlock additional characters, skins, and card backs through play and shops • Codex and Statistics screens track unlocks and how you play

Meta progression & shops included with purchase • House Token Shop — permanent upgrades such as draft rerolls, starting bankroll, side-bet payout boosts, XP bonuses, and cosmetics • Gold Chip Shop — additional economy options tied to in-game progression • Consumables you bring into a run (rare draft weight, temporary payout boosts, bankroll injections, free bets, insurance, and more) • Daily login rewards between sessions

Game modes included • Pit Climb — 12 levels with antes, drafts, and bosses • Endless Mode — after a boss fork, keep playing for score; cash out when you want • Steam Endless Leaderboards — compete for top Endless scores • Steam Achievements tied to climb milestones and challenges

Soundtrack & presentation Original casino-style music for menu, standard run play, boss fights, and Endless. Table UI with portraits, upgrade grids, and clear bankroll/quota tracking. Tutorials and guide bubbles for first-time players (dismissible as you learn).

What makes ONE MORE HIT unique Most blackjack games are endless tables or pure simulators. ONE MORE HIT wraps real blackjack decisions in a roguelite run: quotas, drafts, boss gimmicks, character builds, and meta shops. The question is never only “hit or stand?” — it is “do you take the safe stand, or risk one more hit to clear the quota before the pit closes?”

What’s included with your purchase The Steam purchase includes the full current build of ONE MORE HIT for Windows, including: • Complete pit climb (12 levels) and Endless mode • All currently available characters, drafts, side bets, bosses, shops, and cosmetics in the build • Steam achievements and Endless leaderboards
