Pick a hero. Survive 100 rounds. One hit can end you. 100 Rounds is a top-down arena dodge-survival game: every enemy wave follows a fixed, learnable pattern — read it, weave through it, and reflect each boss's own attacks back to bring it down. Five heroes, run-shaping perks, no mercy.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“100 Rounds thrives on player feedback. Balancing 100 rounds, the interplay of hero passives, blessings, curses and bosses, and the hero roster can only be tuned properly once a wide range of players actually play it. Early Access lets me shape the game together with the community, add content in regular updates, and get the difficulty curve to where it feels fair and exciting instead of guessing behind closed doors.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm planning roughly 6 to 12 months in Early Access, depending on community feedback and progress on new content. I'd rather take the time to finish the game properly than commit to a fixed date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan for the full version to contain significantly more content: additional playable heroes, more blessings and curses, unique bosses for the later rounds, dedicated arena themes beyond round 30, and a better-balanced progression. I also intend to add more polish to graphics, audio and UI, and I'm looking into additional game modes and online co-op. These are plans, not guarantees; scope may change based on feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable from round 1 to 100: five heroes (two unlocked by reaching rounds 10 and 20), hero passives, blessings and curses every five rounds, three distinct bosses at rounds 10, 20 and 30 (later boss rounds reuse the Obelisk), changing arena biomes, twist rounds, a bestiary, and seven interface languages. The core loop is in place; content, later-round bosses and balancing will be expanded during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase moderately when the full version launches, as it is planned to contain significantly more content by then.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I gather feedback through the Steam Community forums and Discord. Player suggestions, bug reports and balancing feedback are read and inform what I work on next, and I plan to share my priorities in regular update notes.”

About This Game

Read the pattern. Survive the round.

100 Rounds is a single-player, top-down arena survival game built on one merciless idea: you can't fight the horde — you have to dodge it. Waves of enemies pour across the arena in fixed, hand-tuned patterns. They play out identically on every run, so every death teaches you something. Die on round 12, jump back in, and rounds 1–12 unfold exactly the same — until you've learned them cold.

Five heroes, five ways to survive

  • The Knight — sturdy and armored. Soaks hits, blocks blows, and slows when wounded, but rarely goes down easy.

  • The Rogue — fragile but slippery. Low health, high speed, and a knack for slipping past attacks that would drop anyone else.

  • The Mage — a pure glass cannon. A single hit is fatal… yet he cheats death once, rising in demon-fire to fight on.

Two more wait behind your best round: the Berserker, who gets faster the closer he is to death, and the Vampire, who slowly regenerates as the rounds go by.

Each hero completely changes how a round feels — the same wave is a stroll for one and a knife-edge for another.

Blessings and curses

Every five rounds the run pauses and offers you a choice: three blessings and one curse. Keep one for the rest of the run. Thicker skin, a narrower hitbox, a second wind, a reroll — or a curse that makes you faster and richer while the horde speeds up too. No two runs build the same.

Bosses that turn patience into a weapon

Every tenth round replaces the horde with a multi-phase boss. You still can't out-muscle them — instead you reflect their own projectiles back, rewarding precise timing and steady nerves. Each boss shifts its tactics as its health falls, forcing you to adapt on the fly.

100 rounds. One run. No safety net.

  • 100 escalating rounds of enemy waves and boss battles, building to a final showdown.

  • A growing bestiary of enemies, each with its own movement pattern to read and outmaneuver — every creature you meet is recorded.

  • The arena transforms every ten rounds: graveyard, lava caverns, frozen crypt, the mire…

  • Twist rounds that reverse your controls, speed up the horde, or plunge the arena into darkness.

  • Fixed, hand-tuned waves — no random spawns, only mistakes you can fix.

  • No mid-run saves — every run starts at round 1. Only your best round carries over, unlocking new heroes.

  • Crunchy pixel art and an atmospheric dungeon interface.

  • Instant restarts that keep you in the flow.
