Curling Stars is the curling game I always wanted to build. I'm probably a better curler than I am a game developer, so I leaned on AI to make the dream real. I hope there are some good ideas in here worth taking away and building properly, with skilled human craftsmanship behind them. And I hope the club curler's perspective comes through in the design decisions. There are some other excellent curling games on the market that I encourage you to support.

Curling Stars is a simulation styled curling game made for everyone who loves the roaring game, from your very first slide to seasoned skips chasing perfection.

• Full-physics curling — real stone weight, curl, sweeping that changes line and distance, ice reading, and split-time deliveries

• Season mode — run a multi-event season with prize money, salaries, free agents, hireable coaches, team morale, and prestige

• Club/Rink Designer — build your own venue (sheets, walls, lighting, rock colours, ice speed and curl) including open-sky outdoor rinks, then play on it

• Jersey & pants designers — paint your own team kit or upload artwork, and see it on your spinning curler

• Create-a-player / roster manager — customize faces, hair, skin, glasses, sunglasses and build your own teams

• Many venues — from cozy club ice to big arenas, a barge at Fanny Bay, Churchill's aurora-lit sea ice, a navy flight deck.

• Coaching mode — a drill library, coach demo throws, and a drill designer for teaching real curling technique

• Alternate control schemes & accessibility options — drag-to-set power, mouse-brush sweeping, board-weight caps, and lots of toggles for how much help you get

• Setting and configuration - Lot's of sliders to get the curling the way you like it. Feet of curl, sweeping effectiveness, ice conditions, pebble that actually wears down and a heat map of the ice conditions. Lot's more of these features.

I built Curling Stars in close collaboration with AI tools. I directed every part of the game myself, the design, gameplay rules, features, venues, art direction, and testing, while an AI coding assistant wrote and iterated on the code, procedural 3D scenes, characters, and animations under my direction. The soundtrack was created with AI music generation, curated and selected by me. Rosters and characters are fictional. Store artwork used Gen AI tools.
