Why Early Access?

“Road to your City is in Early Access on Steam to get it to the players as soon as possible. The development took several years so far and the engine I wrote by myself works very well and smooth, but only with the players help it is possible to improve the game and fix bugs.
Any kind of input is necessary to improve the game continuously. It is not just a process I want you to do, it is also a chance for the community to influence the way Road to your City will look in the future.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is well progressed and will be extended by new features eventually. The game will be released in its final version in one year latest.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Road to your City already contains most of the final features but will be extended if it fits into the current concept. Of course it depends on the community and its demand. I've a lot of ideas in my cupboard e.g. more buildings or a better weather system with snow textures for all objects and much more. As already mentioned the community is a very important part. If there is a high demand I would like to keep working on the game and implement more features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Road to your City already had two alpha stages. The responses have been really positive so far and a lot of things have been improved with the help of the community.
So far there is only a single mode implemented (endless game) but in the future scenarios in different starting countries for different map sizes should be available.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will not change when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I would love to work with the community very closely. I'm already on many different social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) so there are a lot of ways to get in touch with me.
If you followed the way of development you know I am always honest and transparent (!) and that won't change for sure. It would be my pleasure to realize your ideas in this game.”

New devlog video online!

Hi there!

after launching the Kickstarter campaign - which unfortunately does not look that good - I've uploaded the next devlog video with a huge amount of features. Since there are only a few tasks on my to do list there might be the chance of an earlier release which is mentioned in the devlog.

Kickstarter campaign is currently online!

Hi there,

yesterday on Friday February 1 7pm CET the Kickstarter Campaign of Road to your City went online. So far the campaign stands at 8% after a bit more than 24 hours. That´s not the worst start but there is still a long way to go.



You can find all the information over there. If you're really interested in supporting the project or even getting your copy of the game or even the alpha you should have a look at the rewards. Until February 3 7pm CET there are two Early Bird options for a game copy and alpha access so don't waste any time and get your reward over there. I would really appreciate it!

Slipping into the role of mayor, you are tasked with growing your city from a tiny village while simultaneously establishing a successful football club. Meet the wants and needs of your citizens and allow your city to flourish, all the while developing your football club from grassroots to world class powerhouse.
