About This Game

Hearts Gone Black is a top-down survival horror game set years after a failed experiment changed humanity forever.

The dead now walk with black hearts, the world is broken, and the few survivors left are forced to live in abandoned rural towns, ruined homes, and unsafe shelters. You are not a hero. You are one of the few people still breathing, trying to keep yourself and your group alive for one more day.

Scavenge abandoned houses, gather resources, craft tools, research upgrades, grow food, and defend your base from infected creatures and hostile survivors. Every run outside the safety of your shelter is a risk. Supplies are limited, the world is dangerous, and every decision can cost you time, resources, or people.

Survival is not only about fighting. Hunger, thirst, sanity, morale, weather, and injuries all matter. Your survivors need food, rest, protection, and purpose. Assign them to stations, manage your base, and decide what is worth spending your limited resources on.

The world of Hearts Gone Black is quiet and dangerous. You will search empty homes, walk through forgotten villages, fight the infected, and make difficult choices in a world where the need to survive can slowly change what people become — and what their hearts turn into.
