Wartorn is a choice-driven narrative game about the people history usually leaves out — the civilian, the soldier, the neighbour, the friend — trying to keep their humanity intact when the world around them breaks apart.

There are no superpowers here. Only decisions. Do you take up arms, or protect those who can't? Do you stay and rebuild, or carry your story somewhere safe? Do you submit, resist, or simply survive? Each answer moves you along three quiet currents — conviction, compromise, and the will for peace — toward one of four distinct endings.

Where your money goes

Wartorn is a charity release. 50% of the net proceeds from every copy are donated to humanitarian relief in Ukraine, through United24 — Ukraine's official fundraising platform, earmarked for humanitarian and medical aid. This game does not profit from the war — it raises money for the people living through it. When you buy Wartorn, you carry their story with you and you help.

About the subject

Wartorn is set during the ongoing war in Ukraine. It was made as an act of empathy and education — an attempt to let players stand, for a few hours, in shoes they hope never to fill. It does not glorify conflict. It asks what we owe each other when everything else is taken away.

Play at your own pace. Sit with the hard parts. There are no wrong answers — only yours.

Art. All 2D art in Wartorn is produced with AI image-generation tools and then selected, edited, retouched and composited by hand by the developer. This covers the character portraits, the scene backgrounds, the ending and gallery illustrations, the achievement icons, and the store capsules, screenshots and trailer, which are derived from that same in-game art.

Text. The story, the branching structure and the choice design are the developer's own. AI writing tools were used to assist in drafting the prose and dialogue, and AI translation tools were used to produce the five localizations (English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian). All text is reviewed and edited by the developer before shipping.

Audio. Music and sound effects are royalty-free stock audio licensed from Pixabay. They are not generated by the developer using AI tools.

Runtime. No content is generated while the game is running. Every asset is final and ships with the build, and the game makes no calls to any AI service.
