Why Early Access?

“Crownfront is entering Early Access so I can develop the game alongside the community. Player feedback will help me improve the core strategy experience, including resource management, building construction, worker control, military command, combat, AI behavior, balance, and overall usability.

My goal is to create a simple and approachable strategy game that is easy to learn while still offering meaningful strategic decisions. Early Access will allow me to test these systems with players and improve them based on real feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Crownfront to remain in Early Access for approximately two years. This timeframe may change depending on development progress, player feedback, balancing, and the amount of additional content planned for the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will provide the core single-player real-time strategy experience and expand substantially beyond the Next Fest demo.

The full version is planned to include additional content, improved AI behavior, better balance, more polished systems, and further gameplay improvements based on community feedback. The exact scope may evolve during development as I learn from players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the beginning of Early Access, Crownfront will be a playable real-time strategy with additional content that expands on the Next Fest demo.

The Early Access version will include substantially more units, buildings, and resources, as well as multiple levels and a progression system.

The game will continue to be developed throughout Early Access, with further improvements to gameplay, AI, balance, content, and polish planned during the development period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually increase the price of Crownfront as new features and content are implemented.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to use Steam and X to share game updates, development progress, announcements, and information about upcoming changes.

I also plan to use Patreon to provide loyal supporters with detailed development reports, behind-the-scenes information, and deeper insights into the development process.

Community feedback will help guide improvements to gameplay, balance, AI behavior, controls, usability, and future content throughout Early Access.”
