Why Early Access?

“band.exe is being developed by a solo developer, and Early Access allows the game to grow alongside player feedback. The goal is to refine gameplay, improve balance across the different instruments, fix issues, and expand the overall experience based on how players interact with the game. Community feedback will play an important role in shaping future updates and polishing the final experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan is for band.exe to remain in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months. This timeline may change depending on development progress and community feedback, as the focus is on delivering a polished experience rather than meeting a fixed deadline.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with additional songs, new playable characters, more gameplay improvements, visual polish, quality-of-life features, achievements, and further balancing across all instruments. We also plan to continue improving the user interface, tutorials, and overall player experience based on community feedback throughout development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay experience, featuring multiple playable instruments with unique mechanics, combo and scoring systems, tutorials, visual effects, and a selection of playable songs. While the game is fully playable, players may encounter bugs, balance issues, or unfinished content as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually increase the price as new content and features are added throughout Early Access. Players who join early will receive the complete game and all future updates included with their purchase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout development. Player suggestions, bug reports, balance discussions, and quality-of-life ideas will help guide future updates. Feedback gathered through the Steam Community, discussion forums, and social media will be carefully considered as development continues.”
