The children of the village are gone. The fishermen who went looking never came back. Now nobody goes to the lake.

The Hungering Lake is a top-down folklore horror game set at a remote fishing cabin in the Finnish wilderness. The village is starving, and you’re the only one left willing to fish these waters. Something beneath the surface notices every fish you take.

Feed the village. Don’t feed the lake.
Every catch keeps the village alive, and every catch makes the lake angrier. Bring home too little and the village collapses. Take too much and something comes for you. Every trip to the shore is a gamble.

Find the missing logs
The fishermen before you kept records of what they saw, and those pages are scattered around the lake. Some are in the reeds. Some are in the bellies of things you’ll have to catch. One is held by something that should never be pulled to the surface. Together they hide a name, and the name is the only way to end this.

Survive the breach
When it rises, it comes for the cabin. Board the windows, hold the door, and hope the iron is enough.
