About This Game

Alania's Potion is an indie game that blends simulation management with emotional interaction.

You play as Alania, a witch who has lived in seclusion for years. In this small town brainwashed by the Church and seething with hatred for witches, you must disguise yourself as an ordinary apothecary, run a medicine shop, treat the townsfolk, and keep your true identity hidden.

By day, a gentle healer; by night, a witch moving in the shadows. Every treatment is a gamble: get the remedy right, and you earn trust; get it wrong, and suspicion creeps in.

Core Gameplay

• Gathering ingredients / Brewing potions / Treating patients / Exploration & character development

Gathering Ingredients:

• Venture into different maps such as Hissing Forest and Mount Petraland to collect region‑specific herbs. Each gathering trip takes 3 in‑game hours—you can gather continuously, but spending the entire day out in the wild means no one is minding the shop, and the suspicion meter will quietly rise.

Brewing Potions:

• Select a recipe, add your ingredients, and wait 12–20 minutes in real time. You can interrupt the brewing process at any time to go out and restock—but your patients won't wait.

Treating Patients:

• Townsfolk describe their symptoms, and you must diagnose the illness yourself. Choose correctly—administer the right medicine, and you gain trust. Make a mistake—suspicion increases. If you happen to be out of the required remedy, the patient will come back another day—you cannot jump directly from the consultation screen to brewing; resources must be prepared in advance.

Exploration & Character Development:

• Visit the High Street, the Plaza, and other locations to trigger events, trade goods, or gather intelligence. Each day, arrange study and training for your foster child—their growth will influence which ending you reach.

Special events may trigger each quarter with a certain probability.

Story Background

Alania was once an ordinary country girl, until one day her hair turned red and her eyes turned green—the unmistakable signs of a witch awakening. When the Church‑indoctrinated villagers discovered her transformation, she was cruelly persecuted. Rescued by Darama, the head of the Witches' Guild, she began her life in hiding. Now, she has been sent to a frontier town under the control of the Most Church, posing as an apothecary and operating undercover. The town appears peaceful on the surface, but the very word "witch" is a taboo no one dares to utter—and someone is secretly watching your every move.

In this game, you will experience:
