Tactical Combat with Real Depth

Gods Shall Tremble features a deeply tactical combat system driven by six core stats, five attack styles, five defensive maneuvers and personalised fight plans.. as well as an absurd amount of customisation with 67.5 million Behavioral Combinations, and 15 million unique equipable items.

• Stamina is King: Fatigue actively scales your stats downward. Will you blow your energy on a reckless opening assault, or play the long game? Defensive strategies are genuinely viable because mindless aggression is swiftly punished.

• Dynamic Battlefields: Arena effects like blinding dust storms, noxious fumes, and deafening roars trigger mid-combat, permanently altering stats.

• Emergent Chaos: Watch your back. Wild beasts can randomly storm the arena mid-fight, turning a tense duel into an unpredictable, three-way struggle for survival.

• Living Commentary: Dynamic move descriptions and your fighters abilities change based on your fighter's current energy. Even the world’s greatest champions throw sloppy strikes when they are gasping for air.

• 7.5+ Trillion Name Combinations: Roman-style naming systems with dynamic nicknames ensure you will never see the same fighter twice. You could reroll names every second for 235,000 years and not see the same name twice.

• Physique Matters: Height and weight alter performance. Heavy, towering fighters hit with devastating force but lack mobility, while short, light fighters excel at swift evasion.

• Deep Training & Fight Plans: Individually train 16 distinct attributes across a 10-tier progression system. Configure your gladiator's AI with precise Fight Plans—adjusting their aggression, effort, and favored attack frequencies to counter your next opponent.

• No Meta: Your training is capped so that you cannot simply max every stat, you can train up to 10,000 points of a possible 15,000 for your base stats, and 10,000 points out of 12,500 for each of the attack and defense moves, so every fighter will have to make sacrifices and have exploitable weaknesses. Agility is not the god stat, and the meta is simply the counter to the 10 people around you on the leaderboard.

Optimize your fighters with a massive, procedurally generated equipment system built from four distinct layers: Quality, Prefix, Material, and Item Type, with additional Set bonuses which can be run at full strength, or half strength for twice the possible combinations.

• Explore 50 weapon types across 5 distinct categories (Spears, Katanas, Battleaxes, and more) and 50 unique armor types.

• Discover gear forged from 20 different materials across 10 quality tiers ranging from Broken to Legendary—with high-tier loot actively boosting specific skill percentages.

• Find 50 rare Sets that add behavioural perks to your fighters, that can be equipped at a full set for game changing bonuses, or 2 broken sets that add half strength bonuses for even more customisation combinations.

• Manage your empire via a comprehensive Market and a robust Sell Tab featuring advanced filtering to quickly liquidate unwanted gear and give you the coin to buy gear in the global market. With 15 million items, the loot rains down, and a 'Sell All' button becomes a notable feature!

• Perks and Sets add behavioral actions and status effects like bleed damage stacking, vampiric health steal, blinding status effects, just to name a few.

• Defensive Trees: Specialize your defense with bonuses such as damage reflection, enhanced tanking capabilities and guaranteed counter-attacks.

• Risk/Reward & Synergies: Combine high-stakes perks like Blood Gamble (HP drain for massive crits) with synergistic abilities like Opportunist to deal devastating bonus damage to debuffed targets.

Six Distinct Game Modes

Whether you prefer climbing the ranks against real players or tackling brutal endgame PvE content, there is always an arena waiting.

• PvE game modes are not restricted in any way. Play how you want, when you want. You can fight the floor 10 Boss as your first fight in the Shattered Ascent if you choose, and farm any fight for loot with no limits at all.

• Colosseum (PvP Ladder): Battle in a competitive ranked ladder that resets every two weeks. The #1 fighter in each tier is crowned champion and immortalized forever.

• Tournaments: Every Colosseum season if capped off with huge tournaments crowning a champion, or you can enter 32-man single-elimination brackets with automatic matchmaking at any time. Or if you're looking for even higher stakes... Enter monthly Permadeath Tournaments for big account prizes... where if your fighter dies, they are gone forever.

• Shattered Ascent: A brutal 100-floor PvE tower scaling through Mortal, Unnatural, and Immortal difficulties with huge prizes and more loot than you can count, resetting every week with more Player created Bosses to test your skills against.

• Lair of Legends: Farm five weekly Godslayer-tier bosses to collect pieces of 50 unique Armor Sets, which grant massive combat bonuses that stack with your perks.

Death Is Not The End: The Legacy System

Your fighters will leave a permanent mark on the game world, alive or dead.

• Retirement: Max out a Godslayer and retire them with honor. They will permanently become a boss in the Lair of Legends defending the Set items for other players on the server to hunt.

• The Fallen: Fighters lost in permadeath tournaments don't just disappear, they resurrect as bosses defending the Shattered Ascent.

• Account Prestige: Build your Ludus leaderboard ranking globally. Each retired Godslayer grants permanent account bonuses—giving you faster training speeds and better loot drops for your next generation of recruits.
