About This Demo

OTIF puts you in front of the whiteboard.

You have a kanban board, a team, a budget, and a deadline. The client wants it On Time, In Full. How you get there is up to you.

On Time In Full is a kanban board management sim about shipping software. Every project starts with a backlog of tickets and a client who is counting

on you. Your job is to get the work across the board, from BACKLOG to DONE, without running out of time or money, and without cutting so many

corners that the bugs come back to bite you.

How a project plays

  • Run the board – drag tickets onto the board to start work. Your team pulls them through each column day by day: To Do, In Progress, Code Review, Testing, Done.

  • Effort vs value – every ticket shows how much work it takes and how much it's worth to the client. Choosing what to start, and when, is the core decision.

  • Roles matter – developers write the code, QA tests it and project managers keep things moving. Each role can only work certain columns, so a ticket nobody can pick up goes nowhere.

  • Quality has consequences – rushed work fails code review and testing, which spawns bug tickets that block the work they came from. Some bugs stay hidden and only surface after release, when they cost more to fix.

  • Every day costs money – your team is paid daily, busy or not. Overspend and the project suffers.

  • Control time – pause to plan, or speed the clock up to 8× when the board is flowing.

  • Get scored – each project ends with a delivery verdict: On Time? In Full? On Budget? Well Made?

What's in the free demo

The demo contains three complete projects, each one teaching a new part of running a team:

  • Coffee Shop Website – a guided first project with a pre-hired junior developer. Learn the board, the clock and how work flows.

  • Candle eShop – a bigger six-column board with a four-person team. Code review and testing catch rushed work, and bugs come back as tickets of their own.

  • Lemonade Store Website – start with no team at all. Choose developers and testers from a pool of candidates with different skill levels and day rates, balance cost against quality, and deliver anyway.

The demo ends with a sprint retrospective summing up how your projects went.

Look, sound and accessibility

  • A hand-drawn whiteboard with sticky-note tickets, plus alternative board themes.

  • Original music.

  • Accessibility options: reduced motion, a high-contrast mode, colour-blind assistance and adjustable text size. Keyboard focus is always visible.
