Emotion Mask Demo is a free playable preview of Emotion Mask, a 2D puzzle-platformer built around switching emotional states.

Play as a boy wearing a blank mask and travel through a fractured inner world by switching between Calm, Joy, and Anger in real time. Each emotion changes your movement abilities, the way you interact with the environment, and the visual and musical feedback of the world around you.

Calm reveals hidden platforms and clues. Joy grants lighter movement and higher jumps. Anger allows you to dash through specific obstacles. Observe the level, choose the right emotion, and combine jumping, wall-jumping, dashing, fragment collection, and state switching to find a path forward.

This demo contains only a portion of Emotion Mask. The Early Access version offers a more complete playable experience and will continue to expand and improve its levels, controls, and overall content with the help of player feedback.

Emotion Mask was originally created for Global Game Jam 2026 as a solo-developed game completed within 48 hours.

Try a Limited Level Editor

The demo includes a limited level editor where you can edit and preview one level. It is a focused introduction to the creation workflow; the full editor, broader tools, and additional content are available in the Early Access version of Emotion Mask. The demo does not include Workshop publishing or multiplayer features.

Generative AI tools were used to assist in creating and refining some promotional artwork for the Steam store page and related marketing materials. All AI-assisted assets were reviewed and edited by the developer. No generative AI content is used in the game itself, and no content is generated during gameplay.
