About This Software

Steam's Game Recording feature saves your gameplay as fragmented MPEG-DASH streams - dozens of tiny .m4s chunks split across folders, with no easy way to get a normal video out. FragMend fixes that.

Point it at your recordings and it automatically:

  • Auto-detects your Steam install, account, and the real recording folder (even on another drive).

  • Rebuilds real sessions

  • Groups the scattered fragments back into one video per play session, per game, using Steam's own timeline data.

  • Exports clean MP4s

  • Lossless by default (fast stream-copy), with an optional H.264 re-encode for maximum compatibility.

  • Names them sensibly

  • Output is organized by game and date, ready to edit, upload, or archive.

Everything runs locally.

Your recordings never leave your PC — no uploads, no accounts, no cloud. ffmpeg is bundled, so there's nothing else to install.
