Why Early Access?

“I am a solo developer and completing a full version of a game can take a while. By releasing Runetome: Battle Practice into early access I can get player feedback and involve the community in some gameplay design choices.”

“It's difficult to predict how long a project will take. Considering how long it took to reach the current level of gameplay I would estimate 1 to 2 years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to polish and expand the current gameplay and features to immerse players in a fantasy world. I would like to make a spell crafting system, a dynamic map, and move away from a timed game ending. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Runetome: Battle Practice has a single player survival mode where you explore the map, collect a few spells, and use them against the waves of creeps. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There is no current plan to change the price once it leaves early access. ”

About This Game

Runetome: Battle Practice is a 16-Bit fantasy survival game. You must fight waves of enchanted creatures as you make your way around the map. Around the map there are chests which contain spell pages you can use to fight. 

Be careful to manage how often you cast spells. Some of them become more difficult to cast if not managed correctly, they may even use your life force to complete it's casting. 

The early access version goal is to survive for 5 minutes.
