Explore the ever changing seemingly infinite dungeon deep in the mysterious solitary mountain. Collect treasures and riches as you fight off the strange creatures that dwell within. Use the items you collect to buy magical items that help you in combating the ever increasing hordes closing in. How long can you last in the dungeon? How deep can you explore?

Paths not Penned is a simple procedurally generated dungeon crawler. See how long you can last in your quest to get the highest final scores you can.

Buy items using the treasures you find that give you powers and effects. Stack some to compound their effects. But be warned, the difficulty is every increasing and time is your greatest enemy.

Simple casual gameplay allowing you to jump in and do a run whenever you want, without too much thought or menus. Explore the procedurally ever growing dungeon as you encounter what dwells within. Enjoy the parchment art style as you play in a living fantasy map. With character and item sprites all created and digitally drawn by a human mind with human hands.

Paths not penned is meant to be a simple casual experience, for those who like the roguelike dungeon crawler loot collection genres. The gameplay and mechanics are familiar and inspired by others in the genre. The visual style and composition was the main focus, an attempt to make a simple cute fantasy game with a unique artistic style purely for the sake of artistic freedom.

Updates and new content are planned going forward, but Paths not Penned is NOT a live service game. More will be added, updates can be expected, but a game can just be a game, it is what it is and doesn’t always need to be a live service "pushing updates for the sake of updates" game.
