About This Demo

Apochess is a progressive Chess MMO where chess pieces battle automatically using RPG-style stats, equipment, progression, and more than 80 unique skills.

A major balance system makes attacking pieces strike 4x faster, creating gameplay that more closely resembles traditional chess where initiative and aggression matter.

DEMO CONTENT

This Demo provides access to the core Apochess MMO experience, including:

• Animated automatic chess battles.
• Character and account progression.
• PvE BOT, PvP battles.
• Equipment and item collection.
• Marketplace trading between players.
• Daily quests.
• Credit and Karma progression.
• Steam account synchronization with the web version.
• Cross-device play on desktop, mobile, and browser.

This Demo represents a fully playable MMO server where players can repeatedly develop their accounts and build long-term progression.

DEMO RULES

The Demo server resets every Monday at 17:00 GMT+3.

However, the following progression persists through all Demo resets:

• Credits
• Karma investments

Players can earn Credits by:

• Completing Daily Quests
• Selling items to NPCs
• Trading items with other players through the Marketplace

Credits can be freely traded between players through the Marketplace without taxes.

The purpose of the reset system is to allow repeated progression cycles while preserving long-term account growth through Credits and Karma.

DEMO LIMITATIONS

Compared to the planned full release:

• Item drop rate from BOT matches is 15% in the Demo.
• Weekly Quest Credit rewards are disabled.
• Monthly Quest Credit rewards are disabled.
• Demo servers use weekly resets.

FULL RELEASE DIFFERENCES

The full release of Apochess will introduce:

• No server resets.
• Permanent progression.
• 30% item drop rate from BOT matches.
• Weekly Quest Credit rewards.
• Monthly Quest Credit rewards.

All Credits and Karma accumulated during the Demo period will carry forward into the full release.

STEAM AND WEB PLAY

Steam accounts can also be used on the Apochess web version.

Players may continue using the same account across different devices and screen sizes through Steam authentication or by creating optional external login credentials linked to their Steam account.

MONETIZATION

The Steam Apochess servers are designed without the ability to purchase Credits directly from the game owner.

The full release will be a one-time purchase with access to future updates and long-term progression.

The game has been extensively playtested over thousands of gameplay hours across previous web platform versions, helping shape its balance and progression systems.
