Coffin to Riches is a folk-horror mystery puzzle game set in a coastal town in southern China during the 1990s.

Its story unfolds around folk beliefs, human desires, and a secret buried for years.

Together with Zhengzheng, your childhood friend, you will venture deep into Huilong Town—a place steeped in superstition and ancient customs—and investigate the truth behind your father's death.

As clue after clue comes to light, people and events that once seemed unrelated begin to intertwine.

What truth lies beneath the gods people worship, the rumors they whisper, and the desires they hide?

Huilong Town

A coastal town whose people have always lived at the mercy of the sea and the heavens.

Once, their sincere devotion gave rise to a deity worshipped by generations.

But no one remembers when things began to change.

From high upon the altar, the god gazes down upon its worshippers—and little by little, desire casts its shadow over every pair of faithful eyes kneeling below.

And beneath the incense-filled temple, someone has buried a secret they never wanted the world to know.

Chen Yongsheng

The only son of the owner of the Chen Family Coffin Shop in Huilong Town.

His mother died when he was young. With a quiet, distant father who was almost always occupied with work, Yongsheng grew accustomed to being on his own.

Introverted and reserved, he is nevertheless stubborn, loyal, and deeply devoted to those he cares about.

Refusing to accept the life his father had already planned for him, Yongsheng has long dreamed of leaving the coffin shop behind.

But before he can finally take that step, he witnesses his father's horrific death with his own eyes.

The sudden loss changes everything.

To uncover the truth behind his father's death, Yongsheng must return to the very world he has spent his whole life trying to escape.

Zhengzheng

An orphan adopted by the temple's spirit medium, and Chen Yongsheng's childhood friend.

Sharp-witted and perceptive, Zhengzheng remains unusually composed even in the face of danger.

Where Yongsheng struggles to express himself, she knows how to deal with people—and seems to understand Huilong Town's customs and secrets better than almost anyone.

As Yongsheng investigates his father's death, Zhengzheng becomes his most important companion.

Yet when it comes to certain events long buried in the past, there are things even she seems unwilling to reveal.

Gameplay
