零余者的春天 Good for nothing ~ Every dog has his day
A visual novel about psychological exploration, family trauma, existential meditation. Linear, single ending. Goethe called Hamlet the kind of man in whom thinking too much kills the will to act. And here I stand, in Canton’s spring — am I not to sigh like a poet, watching a bird come and go?

About This Game

STORY

In the spring of his second year after dropping out of university, K lives a "lie-flat" life. Having cut ties with his parents, he stays locked in his room all day, with his younger sister Noko as his only connection. One day, Noko brings her friend Kotoha over. This mysterious girl takes an interest in K and insists on pulling him out to see the sunlight. But unknown to K, both Kotoha and Noko carry secrets they cannot tell. Within just a few spring days, their relationship rapidly spins out of control…

FEATURES

This short visual novel blends literary fiction with raw adolescent angst and psychological unease.

Elements include: philosophical meditation, psychoanalysis, family-of-origin trauma, and mental disorders.

No choices/branches → single ending (Normal End).

CHARACTERS

Kotoha - A girl who draws, but always draws back

from her own heart. She’s determined to be an artist,

yet trapped in self-doubt. Lately, she’s drawn to you.

Noko - Your sister. On the surface, she’s straight —

straight-A student, straight-laced, straight down the line.

She meets every expectation, day after day.

K - You, a veteran lieaboutist — lying about the house

and lying about everything else. Even though

everyone seems to think you’re just a posturing liar.
