Why Early Access?

“The game is not fully finished, however it is in playable state and before fully committing in which direction the game will go it is important to me what aspects of the game, in its current state, players enjoy the most.”

“At least 6 months, depending on amount of content I will decide to add.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add additional game mode and better balance the game according to player feedback. I also intend to improve enemy behaviour and improve overall visual quality of the game.”

“The game has one fully playable game mode with procedurally generated maps and ascension levels. It has tutorial, full gameplay loop with endless mode. All core mechanics like constructing buildings in your outpost, recruiting units, unlocking new technologies, constructing your own mech and using it to combat waves of enemies have already been implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I'm not planning on changing the price when the game leaves early access.”

About This Game

In Domefender you are sent to a hostile alien planet with the goal of collecting solarite - an extremely rare material, formed only under very specific conditions. However the exact same conditions required for creation of solarite led to some obscure evolution of local wildlife.

The planet is uninhabitable for humans, luckily with modern technological advancements in cloning, we managed to create (totally) non-sentient life forms, capable of surviving local conditions - H.O.O.M.A.N.S. (Humanlike Organic Operationally Minimally Assisted Non-Sentients) - as long as they stay under the dome.

Taking into account local environment and hostile wildlife attracted to electricity, establishing a permanent base is out of the question. Surviving there for a month would be nothing short of a miracle.

Mining solarite will also require highly specialized infrastructure that we sadly can't transport over there with you.

Your job will be to establish a mining outpost, and develop it using local resources to a point where it is capable of extracting it, and then escaping with it before the waves of enemies get too overwhelming.

We are counting on you!

P.S. Our funding is finite, and with all the lawsuits (falsely) alleging that hoomans are sentient (they aren't), you should really hurry to bring some solarite back home.
