The latest entry in the everyday-life-invasion horror series Tsugunohi is coming to Steam.

As always, all you need to do is press the “←” key and keep walking.

There are no complicated controls.

This title marks a return to the roots of Tsugunohi, revisiting the visual style and unsettling atmosphere of the series’ earliest entries.

A sweltering summer afternoon in a quiet residential neighborhood.

A hazy brightness hangs over the streets, evoking those childhood walks home when, for some reason, you just didn’t want to go back.

A girl who lives in a house covered in graffiti walks this same road home from school once again.

The “righteous” people who appear day after day.

A thread of salvation dangling from the sky.

Holding a white umbrella, her mother tells her:

“I’ll protect you.”——

With each passing day, the once-blue sky slowly sinks into red,

and the familiar road home quietly begins to fall apart.

The story unfolds across multiple chapters, from Chapter 1 through the Final Chapter.

And at the very end, one choice awaits you:

“Take her hand / Don’t take her hand.”

Returning to the feel of the early Tsugunohi games while reimagining that fear for the present day, this is a new Tsugunohi.
