About This Game

Plunderfall is an open-seas pirate twin-stick roguelite where you start betrayed, shipwrecked, and stuck on a raft that barely floats with a cannon strapped to it.

Betrayed and Left for Dead

Once, you commanded a mighty galleon. Then your own faction turned on you, sank your ship, scattered your crew, and left you behind. Now you sail from a hidden island hideout, hunting the traitor captains who took everything from you.

Sail, Plunder, Survive

Take to the open seas and blast enemy fleets in 360-degree twin-stick naval combat. Sink ships, dodge cannon fire, collect gold, gather resources, find rare artifacts, and choose temporary upgrades that turn each voyage into controlled pirate nonsense.

Every trip into the sea is a chance to come back richer, stronger, and slightly more dangerous. 

Build Your Hideout

Your island starts as a pathetic castaway camp, but it won’t stay that way.

Bring back plunder, materials, rare artifacts, and boss relics to upgrade your hideout into a proper pirate stronghold. Improve your shipyard, strengthen your crew, unlock new ships and upgrades, and prepare for deeper waters.

Rescue Your Crew

Your mateys were scattered after the betrayal.

Find them stranded across the sea, bring them back to your island, and grow your fleet. Rescued crew members can sail beside you, help in battle, and make your revenge a lot less lonely.

Hunt Traitor Captains

The captains who betrayed you control the seas now.

Defeat their boss ships, loot their relics, claim new vessels, and use those relics to unlock new waters. Each captain you bring down pushes you closer to the final traitor who destroyed your legacy.

Due to budget constraints (rideshare driver) I used generative AI for some pre-rendered artwork, store/marketing imagery, and voiceover content (I intend to replace all that by human-made content over time). The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay.
